2010/11/20-21 Tough Mudder (12M)

The Toughest Event on the Planet
Tough Mudder is not your average lame-ass mud run or spirit-crushing ‘endurance’ road race. It’s Ironman meets Burning Man, and it is coming to a city near you. Our 7-12 mile obstacle courses are designed by British Special Forces to test all around strength, stamina, mental grit, and camaraderie. Forget finish times. Simply completing a Tough Mudder is a badge of honor. All Tough Mudder sponsorship proceeds go to the Wounded Warrior Project.
WARNING: A Tough Mudder is 3-4 times longer and much tougher than a typical mud run such as Warrior Dash. Only those in reasonable physical condition should enter.
Course Information
When designing the course, Tough Mudder went in search of the toughest guys on the planet to help them out. Some US Navy SEALs wanted to help, but they were too worried about getting sued if something went wrong, so they went to the British Special Air Service (SAS). These bad-ass Brits were made famous for the ass-kicking they dished out during the 1980 Iranian Embassy Siege in London and were the first ever elite special forces unit that all other countries special forces units (including the SEALs) are modeled on.

Post Event Party
After you finish the course, grab your free beer and hang out with your fellow mudders. There’ll be a band and lots of food for sale. Tough Mudder will also be offering free tattoos of our bad-ass logo to all finishers who truly want to commemorate their epic achievement. No, there are no showers. Yes, there will be firemen with a hose.

Hi Vincent, just a word of warning I was suckered in to doing the first Tough mudder, i was excited by the toughest one day event claims BUT and it is a big one. It was complete chaos from start to finish there was a 2 hour wait for the shuttle bus at parking almost missed my heat. There where 45min waits at some of the obstacles and the course ended up bieng 4 miles long I GPS’d it with several others. You have been warned I also read last night there is a huge lawsuit against them for going to an event called Tough Guy taking photos putting them on the site and claiming it was there race. They may be shut down leaving you with NO race to go to.
